Oral Surgery 101 is designed to give the general practitioner the competence and confidence to perform everyday basic surgical procedures in the dental office. Oral Surgery 101 is presented in three separate lectures, and while each lecture is taken separately, we suggest that the three lectures be viewed in order: Lecture # 1, Lecture# 2, and finally, Lecture #3. In the aggregate, the three Lectures will cover the following topics: Fundamentals of surgical extractions, Basics of oral surgery, Informed consent, Impacted third molars, Instrumentation including new instruments for atraumatic extractions and bone preservation, and Common medical emergencies in the dental office.
