Course Overview
One week-long program designed for Internationally trained Dentists to provide a culminating experience to further their dental education in United States.
This program is designed to meet the needs of prospective students who are interested in understanding the basic framework for the International Dentist Education Program.
Rolling admissions, program dates will be published one month prior to each month of observership program.
Participant will receive a certificate noting their 36 hours of CE credit.
Please note that course dates are to be coordinated by attendee and course director.
Course Curriculum
Chair-side observation in pre-doc clinic
Informal meeting with residents and IDEP students
Literature review seminar (if available or occurring at that time)
Clinical conference
Grand rounds seminar with CE credit (if available or occurring at that time)
Rotation through AEGD clinic
Schedule
This program is full time 8 AM-5 PM (Monday to Friday for 1 or 2 weeks)
Every session will be designed to maximize the clinical exposure per that week
Preceptor will spend 5 half days in clinic (3.5 hours during each session for total up to 36 hours per week)
Preceptors will be allowed to attend seminars and grand rounds offered during that session
There will be a meal break, we will not be providing meals. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or enjoy our on-campus cafeteria options
Selection Criteria
Rolling admissions
Candidate should be able to demonstrate adequate English language speaking skills during virtual meeting
Should demonstrate strong commitment to improve clinical and didactic knowledge

Once you’ve registered, the course director will contact you and arrange for an interview via Zoom or phone call. Upon completion of that review process, you will be able to finalize your registration and complete your enrollment with a $1,150 payment. The program is for one week. If you’d like to enroll for a second week, you need not apply again and would simply pay another $1,250

Attire
Scrubs all day, please attend in your own scrubs. Gowns will be provided during the course
Closed toed shoes
Identification badges are to be worn so that the name on the badge is visible at all times
