OVERVIEW
An explosion of new diagnostic methodologies such as molecular and genomic testing, adjunctive visual aids, cytology, and salivary diagnostics are being actively marketed to the dental professional, or will be so in the future. The products are often promoted as advanced “must have” products for the contemporary dental practice. This presentation is to compare and contrast marketing claims against available evidence.
