Implants, Tissue Control, and Laboratory Communications
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course focuses on the pre-implant and post-implant control of the supporting tissues. The course will discuss how to visualize the ideal finished product both in restoration design and tissue emergence. It also discusses how to give the laboratory technicians the proper information from which to create that which will be delivered to the patient. Dr. Perry, having taught hundreds of residents and experienced failures, hopes to show the participant through the documented failures what he has learned and pass that valuable information on.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:After completing this course, the participant should be able to:
Understand the pre-extraction preparation of the site.
Understand the post-extraction treatment of the site.
Utilize proper surgical placement
Manage posterior and anterior soft tissue manipulation
Properly relay the soft tissue to the lab remembering that natural teeth do not exit gingiva through round holes.
