How to Achieve Excellent Marginal Fit and Cervical Contour with Crowns

Not Supported.

Course Overview

Course Description: Restorative dentists wanted. When was the last time you challenged yourself to review this everyday procedure? There is no such thing as basic dentistry or easy-to-perform skills. That’s why we’re proud to offer this outstanding presentation by the Dean of Loma Linda University’s dental school, Dr. Charlie Goodacre
Charlie’s course shares with us, in great detail, with close-up images and clear videos, every step necessary to provide predictable marginal fit for restorations. From the tooth prep, to convergence walls, to retraction cord, to his “best-of-breed” impression techniques, we learn what to do and what not to do for predictable restorations that are biologically and cosmetically appropriate.
Is this a big deal? You bet it is! Insurance companies reject claims for our basic bread-and-butter restoration all the time because crown margins are off. Charlie’s course changes that for good! Insurance claims aside, this course is sheer elegance.

Course Objectives: After completing this course the participant should be able to:

  • Identify the 3 synergistic factors that produce good fit and cervical contour
  • Summarize the characteristics of tooth preparations that support mechanical success and enhance marginal fit and cervical contour
  • Explain the impact that good impressions have upon marginal fit and contour and describe how good impressions are made
  • Understand the role that excellent dental laboratory technicians play in the continuum of events that produce optimal crown fit and contour
