Overview
Dental reconstruction especially in the anterior region represents an esthetic challenge, not only because of the public perception of beauty is constantly changing but also because of constant changes in techniques and materials in the last 30 years. Osseointegrated single or multiple tooth restorations have high long-term success rates. Since the origin of the Brånemark protocols one important area of constant change and evolution is the anterior esthetic zone.
Objectives
To concentrate on a detailed analysis and description of all the factors involved in delivering a predictable, functional and esthetic restoration in the anterior zone, and provide a step-by-step guide of what we consider relevant in the literature and in our own practice.
