Buccal Plate Preservation: A Predictable Solution to Anterior Aesthetic Management

Not Supported.

Course Overview

Course Description:  Socket preservation.  Socket preservation is a clinical buzz word that is rapidly becoming a common clinical procedure, but it is not without controversy.  Does it work?  Can the implant be inserted at the time of tooth removal?  Does the bone graft slow healing?  Is there an alternative that will enhance the outcome and help preserve the buccal plate?
Dr. Federico Brugnami and Dr. Alfonso Caiazzo share their Buccal Plate Preservation Technique with Expert Dental CE.  In this clear and well-documented presentation, accompanied by clinical studies and cone beam CT verification, Federico and Alfonso discuss how best to optimize implant placement and offer a technique that does not delay the healing process but enhances the clinical and aesthetic results.  This is a “don’t miss” lecture that will improve patient outcomes.

Course objectives:  After completing this course the participant should be able to:

  • Understand the healing of extraction sockets
  • Evaluate different treatment options after extraction to optimize implant placement.
  • Utilize an alternative technique that does not interfere with regular healing of socket and at the same time enhances contour for optimal  implant placement in the esthetic area.
  • Know how and when to apply a sub-periosteal bone graft to enhance soft and hard tissue contours in aesthetic areas
  • Explore alternative solutions when buccal plate is partially or completely resorbed for both immediate and delayed implant placement
