Course overview
This course will include an in-depth discussion of actual lawsuit cases. This NEW course is approved by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners for technical and/or scientific course credits and can be used toward relicensure.
Objectives
At the conclusion of the course, participants will learn:
Jurisprudence and ethics review
Types of lawsuits affecting dentistry
Potential sources of all dental lawsuits
What are the odds of being sued
New challenges increasing the risk of being sued
What to do if you are sued
Texas State Board disciplinary actions
What to do if you are charged with violations
Keeping dental records that meet TSBDE requirements and provide malpractice defense
What the future holds
