OVERVIEW
This presentation will inform clinicians on the procedures necessary to achieve predictable outcomes while treating endodontic patients effectively and efficiently. Differences between endodontic systems will be discussed using recent and comprehensive scientific research.
Scientific material will be presented on the latest methods needed to ensure proper access, cleaning, shaping and obturation of root canals. The lecture will review anatomical studies and suggest a technique for proper apical, coronal and mid-root preparation. Techniques for avoiding ledging, zipping, perforating, over preparation and canal straightening during root canal treatments will also be discussed. Clinicians will gain valuable information on the latest scientific and endodontic technology so they can better determine which innovations to incorporate into their practices.
HANDS-ON SESSION
Participants will receive step-by-step instruction on the use of LightSpeed“ and SimpliFill“ under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Practice will be provided instrumenting simulated curved canals. After completing the extracted teeth, cross sections will be made and reviewed.
