OVERVIEW
Cracked tooth syndrome can be extremely difficult to diagnose and to determine the fracture location within the tooth. This presentation will present the current knowledge for evaluating and treating this disorder. Primarily through case scenarios, other difficult to diagnose and/or treat orofacial pains (e.g., tooth pain caused by sinus congestion or muscles, headaches, and TMD) will be explained.

OBJECTIVES
• Gain insights into various techniques for diagnosing, preventing, and treating incomplete coronal tooth fractures.
• Understand how referred pain patterns may be used to help determine whether a patient's perceived pain is coming from a different location.
• Realize how local anesthetic challenges may be used to identify a patient's true pain source.
• Understand which TMD therapies are most beneficial for the various patient characteristics.
• Understand how to integrate TMD and cervical spine therapies with the treatment of headaches.
• Garner clinically valuable information on difficult to diagnose and/or treat orofacial pains that you can
immediately use in your dental practice.
