Lecture Course/Examination: Texas State Board of Dental Examiners Required Dental Assistant’s Registration Course

OVERVIEW
As of September 1, 2006 the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners require Dental Assistants attend a prep course and pass an examination on Jurisprudence, Infection Control, and Radiology, which will be administered at the end of the presentation. This course is intended to provide sufficient information in the following areas.

PRESENTER
MONA L. THIBADEAU, RDA, CDA, BA, is a Dental Assistant graduate from the United States Air Force in 1973. She has vast experience in multiple aspects of the dental assisting field and enjoys teaching and working with students. She acquired her work life experience in dental organizations throughout the Military and Civilian sectors. Ms.Thibadeau’s experience includes prosthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, general dentistry, endodontics, and office management. Ms. Thibadeau is a Dental Instructor at San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistant where she has taught since 1998. Ms. Thibadeau is a Texas Registered Dental Assistant; Certified Dental Assistant and CPR Facility Instructor certified by the American Heart Association, Radiation Safety Officer, OSHA and Safety Coordinator.
