Overview
Dr. Shirley and Dr. Dawson will update everyone on the world of digital dentistry and get a glimpse of what the future might hold for our profession. They will also be reviewing how the CEREC has been working in their office’s for one year and how the competition (E4D) is matching up. Are we going to get rid of impressions and do we want to? Dentistry is changing fast so Dr. Shirley and Dr. Dawson thought it might be fun to try and review and take a look forward. Come and see if it is time to jump on the digital wagon!

PRESENTERS
JACK I. SHIRLEY, D.D.S., received his dental degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1979. He has maintained a private practice in San Antonio, Texas for over twenty years. In addition to his practice, Dr. Shirley has been associated with The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida for eighteen years. During much of this time, he has as served on the Institute’s Visiting Faculty, Board of Trustees. Currently he is the President of the LD Pankey Dental Foundation, Inc., the nonprofit oversight Board of the Pankey Institute.

THOMAS W. DAWSON, D.D.S., graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch in1974 and has maintained a restorative practice in Arlington, Texas for the past 34 years. He has served as a faculty member with the L.D. Pankey Institute since 1982. He has also been on their Board of Directors and most recently served on the Board of Trustees. Dr. Dawson has also received the Master Practitioner Award from the University of Texas Dental Branch Alumni Association. He is a member of the American and Texas Dental Associations. He has been the Arlington Dental Study Club President, Program Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.
