Immediate Placement, Restoration and Function of Dental Implants

Overview
Advances in contemporary implant dentistry, materials, designs and techniques allow clinicians to significantly shorten treatment times for those patients requiring the replacement of one or all of their teeth. The different treatment modalities available provide immediate and predictable aesthetic and functional results when fundamental concepts are applied to ideal patients. This lecture will provide the diagnostic, surgical and prosthetic guidelines for the immediate placement, restoration and loading of dental implants.

Objectives
The attendees to the lecture will be able to understand the following concepts and techniques:
• Immediate Implant Placement
• Immediate Implant Provisional Restoration
• Immediate loading of dental implants
• Final implant restoration of the single tooth, multiple teeth and complete arches.

PRESENTER
ALFONSO MONARRES, D.D.S., M.S., received his DDS degree from The UAC in Torreon, Mexico. He then completed a three-year post-doctoral program in Prosthodontics, a one year Fellowship in Implant Dentistry and earned his Master of Science degree in Biomaterials at the School of Dental Medicine of the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB).

Dr. Monarres was a Clinical Instructor in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at UB School of Dental Medicine. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of the department of Prosthodontics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dental School and maintains a private practice limited to Implant, Esthetic and Prosthetic Dentistry.
