Curved Ultrasonic Inserts: How It Works?

 

OVERVIEW
New ultrasonic instruments allow slimmer inserts to be operated at a higher power, and curved inserts for better adaptation. A case based format will be utilized to introduce new techniques for improving calculus removal skills with difficult periodontal patients. This course will bring the latest information in ultrasonic instrumentation in a combined classroom and ‘hand-on’ session.

OBJECTIVES
By attending this workshop participants will:
• Review the evolution of ultrasonic instrumentation
• Review the anatomy of the root surface of teeth
• Develop strategies to accomplish non-surgical periodontal instrumentation
• Practice with slim inserts on specially prepared typodonts
• Practice with curved inserts on specially prepared typodonts.
