Oral Cancer: Epidemiology and Diagnosis

Michaell A. Huber, D.D.S.

Successful management of the oral cancer patient requires a multidiscipline effort, in which the dental professional plays a critical role. An estimated 29,000 new cases of oral and pharyngeal will be diagnosed this year, many as a consequence of an oral screening provided by a dentist. This course will provide a review of the most contemporary approaches to manage the oral cancer patient, from diagnosis to management.

The participants will learn about:
• Epidemiologic overview
• Cancer prevention
• Diagnostic/Screening modalities
