In this third lecture of the Facial Pain Series, Dr. Jeff Burgess reminds us, with great clarity, that that when addressing facial pain not caused by teeth, you may find that the diseases involving the ear, eye, nose, sinuses, and the salivary glands can be a cause facial pain. Jeff laces his talk with patient narratives that describe both the pain they experience that is difficult to diagnosis or the mistreatment that can occur when clinicians treat all facial pain as “tooth related.” By the end of this excellent series of lectures, it is quite evident that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to treating facial pain. At the end of this Part 3 lecture there will be a test to verify the successful completion of this course.
