The "mystery" of proper diagnosis, treatment planning and the successful prosthetic rehabilitation of the edentulous patient has often baffled even the most experienced clinicians. This can be attributed, in part, to the minimized focus on the basic principles of complete denture procedures in dental education. Currently, approximately only 4% of edentulous patients receive implant supported prosthetic rehabilitation. The dramatic rise in the edentulous population (38 million by 2020) presents challenges and rewards to those clinicians who are prepared to manage these patients. From muscle trimming to tooth form selection to occlusal concepts, Bruce focuses on the critical factors necessary to help grow and make this part of your practice more successful.
