Part of the UT Health San Antonio.
Patients often present to the dentist with a concern over a bump or sore in their mouth that appears unrelated to the teeth. The purpose of this course is to update the practitioner on the diagnosis and management of some of the more common and / or serious mucosal conditions encountered in dental practice. An emphasis on correlating the historical and clinical clues of each condition to formulate a differential diagnosis, along with the indications and limitations of biopsy will be discussed. A discussion on contemporary management strategies will be also be provided. For your convenience the course has been arbitrarily divided into 3 sections, each roughly 1 hour in length. The participant is encouraged to take all 3 sections.
